Harry Potter connection...?

Okay, before I post this I guess... SPOILER: anyone who hasn't read the Harry Potter series amd is planning to, GO AWAY!! Don't read this! It's not a huge spoiler, but just in case It thought I'd put that.
Anyway, so, I was bored and was reading some Harry Potter and listening to TwiRock (odd effects) and that got me thinking. This may be way out of the box but you ever thought of the similarities between Edward and Lupin? They both see themselves as monsters, think they're not deserving of the person they love, stuff like that. I'm not really sure what I'm asking but I guess, what do you think? Sorry if this is a totally random question!!
