Huh, in regards to Bella's loss of appetite as she was dealing with Edwards pre-separation angst. I always thought that was normal. I get physically sick when I'm under emotional stress like that. I can't eat; as though my stomach turns to stone. It takes a long time, days and days, for my stomach to unwind too.

I guess I'm in that minority 10%

not at all, i'm the same way. it's hard because the thought of food makes me feel sick and i'm not hungry for anything (most times I have to settle for sprite and bread because that's all I can handle).

I wanted to comment on the chapter read for the week and some of the commentary. Specifically, I think it was Sammy that said, "This is what happens when your happiness depends only on one person" or something to that effect.

I completely agree with that statement , but think lots of fans sometimes forget that it wasn't just Edward that Bella lost, but Alice--really her closest friend in Forks--and all the other Cullens that she loved so well. She didn't just lose her soul mate, but a whole social network (for her) all at once. And that can be seriously devastating.

I was going through the same thing when I was reading "New Moon". All the friends I thought would be lifelong, turned out not to be. And working nights mon-fri, I had absolutely no social network. This is why NM is my favorite. All the pain and blankness Bella goes through...it was like Meyer took my broken heart and wrote it all down. So poigniant and perfect to me.
