Tan Vampires?

so the old dracula films claim that vampires are so pale because the sun will burn them. BUT we all know that the Cullens can walk in the sunlight (and the worst side effect being sparkling) if they so choose, so my question is: if they found a sunny isolated area with no humans and stayed for a whole day...would they tan??
