Vocab Words!!!

So I was doing my Vocabulary homework writing my words down on flashcards when I came across the word lurid. The definition? Word for word it said, "causing shock, horror, or revulsion; sensational; pale or sallow in color; terrible or passionate in intensity or lack of restraint." And the first thing that came to my mind of course was Edward Cullen. It is what he sees himself as at least.

So for my actually question, what vocabulary adjectives would you give the other characters of the book? I'm not really looking for anything that Stephenie has used, (Ex. compassion for Esme) just new and exciting words. lol
