if Disney did Twilight...

i recently saw a topic on the TA website that sed if Disney did Twilight wud u support it or not. personally i wud not cause i just CANNOT sit through a musical. I am sorry but i can't! i mean like james wud be breaking bella's leg and she wud burst into song and start dancing.

what do u think about this and would you have supported Twilight as much as you do now if Disney had done Twilight rather than Summit?

Then again, I wouldn't have even liked Twilight because I went and saw the movie first. Actually, I read the first three chapters, and my parents that day were like, "hey you want to go see Twilight?" I am ashamed to say that I was one of the people that refused to like Twilight at first. I personally only went to see the movie because I saw that a gorgeous man (Rob) was playing the lead (and the fact that Muse had a song in it). Then I read the rest of the series in two weeks and blah blah blah. And now look at me, I'm an active member of a podcast forum. Again, I am ashamed of my actions in the beginning, I beg for your forgiveness. *looks down and shakes head in shame* lol

Okay back on topic.

No, I wouldn't have supported Twilight if Disney, because they would have made a Jonas brother Edward because he is supposedly "unbelievably gorgeous." How a Jonas Brother could compete against Robert Pattinson is way over my head. I support nothing Jonas. Disney would probably have made it into some kind of cheery film, and I don't want to even thing how New Moon would have turned out. Ugh and the music they would have used. I shutter to think of them switching out Muse and RPattz with the Jonas Brothers, and dare I say it, Miley Cyrus. She herself would probably play Bella, (which would be fine because I "strongly dislike" both).

Oh yeah, I forgot about him. I mean he is better than a Jonas Brother, but still. I would die. I loved it in the Twilight commentary when they were talking about because Twilight was such a big hit and made so much money they could fire all the no name actors and get new, big and "better" ones, (joking of course) and Rob says something like "Yeah, now they can get Efron," and did his cute little laugh. I cracked up, but I wanted to be like, "No Rob, you are much more talented and beautiful and Edwardesque." lol

of course he is! no if Zac did Twilight- i wud die! that was y wen the rumored casting of Vanessa Hudgens came up on TA for Leah i nearly cried-no joke!

if disney did twilight, i would stage a protest. a very,very,very LARGE PROTEST!!! and i was freaking out when it was rumored that Vanessa Hudgens was playing leah. disney is (let's face it) more of a kids/tween production company, and twilight is a teen/adult story. it just wouldn't mix.

It wouldn't be a musical but i don't think it would be as bad if it's something like Pirates of the Carribean.

Well, when I think of Disney I have two images. I see the Hannah
Montana/JoBros/sell out Disney. But I also think of the classic Disney,
The Little Mermaid/Lion King/Aladdian. So just to be clear, I love the
classic Disney, anything involved with that I watch. But I cannot stand
the "tween" Disney. Okay, clarification done.
If Disney did
Twilight...hmmm. All right I know I might be hunted down for this
answer. But I might have gone to see it. Because about the first 6
months of being dazzled were the craziest. I was searching anything and
everything Twilight. And, while I would be devastated that Disney got
their grimy little hands on Twilight, there may be a chance that I
would go see it. Or at least stay connected with it. It would simply be
because I was so desperate for all things Twilight. While I'm still
obsessed, I've learned to tone it down a bit in public. (But when the
New Moon trailer comes on in a theater...all bets are off. xD)
